Deposits and Balance Payments

Which homes let you pay in parts

It varies by home. Some take the full amount at booking; others take a part now and the rest before you arrive. There is no single percentage across the estate, so rather than quote one here, checkout shows you the exact amount due today for the home and dates you picked, next to the full total.

For a large group booking or an event, talk to us on WhatsApp first — the terms are often different from what checkout offers.

Paying the balance

Your balance has a payment link of its own, and the booking in your bookings shows what is outstanding. We send a reminder before it is due; you can also pay it any time before that.

Pay it before you arrive. Turning up with a balance outstanding is the one thing most likely to make check-in awkward, and the caretaker at the house is not set up to take payments.

If a balance goes unpaid

We will chase it on WhatsApp rather than quietly cancel. But a booking with an unpaid balance at check-in is not a confirmed stay, and if we cannot reach you the cancellation policy applies as it would to any cancellation at that point.

Cancelling a part-paid booking

Refunds are calculated on what you have actually paid, not on the total value of the booking. Cancel eight days out having paid a part, and that part comes back in full. See how refunds reach you.

We do not take a damage deposit

Not as a rule. A few of the largest homes ask for a refundable one against a big group or an event booking; where that applies you will be told before you pay, not on arrival.
