We would keep one afternoon unplanned: the pool and BBQ tend to take it over.

Chapter one

A farmhouse for the whole gang

This is a five-bedroom farmhouse for groups that would rather share one long table than split into hotel rooms. The pool sets the pace in the afternoon, while the garden and balcony give everyone somewhere to peel off with a book, a cup of tea, or a quieter conversation. Meals tend to become part of the plan here. The kitchen has the practical things needed to cook for a crowd, and the dining table is made for breakfasts that run late. Children can take over the outdoor playground while the adults stay nearby. By evening, the BBQ comes out, the poolside chatter carries on, and nobody is in much of a hurry to call it a night.
Chapter two

A day at the house.

A few moments, in the order they tend to happen.

Arrival
14:00
Arrival

You arrive, park inside, and get the useful first walk-through: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and the pool outside. Bags usually land in the rooms quickly, then the group drifts toward the garden and balcony.

First evening
19:00
First evening

As the light drops, the pool becomes more of a backdrop and the BBQ takes over. Set dinner out at the dining table, or keep it outdoors while someone keeps an eye on the cooker and grill.

Next morning
08:00
Next morning

Morning starts in separate corners: someone making tea in the kitchen, someone else on the balcony, children looking for the playground. Breakfast can stay on the table as long as the group lets it.

Departure
11:00
Departure

The last hour is usually for packing damp pool clothes, clearing the fridge and one final round through the garden. Most groups leave wishing they had kept another afternoon free for the pool and BBQ.

Chapter three

The spaces.

Bedroom one

One of five air-conditioned bedrooms, with extra pillows and blankets available for a more flexible group setup.

Bedroom two

An air-conditioned bedroom paired with access to one of the home’s five bathrooms.

Bedroom three

A separate bedroom that gives larger groups another place to close the door and recharge.

Bedroom four

An air-conditioned bedroom suited to guests who want to be part of the group without sharing a common sleeping area.

Bedroom five

The fifth bedroom completes the house’s five-bedroom, five-bathroom layout.

Living and dining area

The shared indoor area centres on a dining table, TV, books and reading material for the stretches between meals.

Kitchen

The kitchen includes a fridge, mini fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, crockery, cutlery and the basics for group cooking.

Private pool

The outdoor private pool is where the group naturally gathers through the afternoon; it is unheated and seasonal temperatures affect the water.

Garden and outdoor playground

The garden has outdoor furniture and an outdoor playground, giving children space to move while adults remain close by.

Balcony and BBQ area

The balcony offers a quieter perch over the outdoor areas, while the BBQ is ready for an evening meal outside.

The feeling

In a word.

Unhurried
Unhurried

The garden gives the day a slower shape: coffee on the balcony, a pool dip after lunch, then a book before dinner. There is no need to pack every hour with an outing.

Together
Together

The dining table, BBQ and pool keep the group in the same orbit without forcing everyone into one room. Children can use the outdoor playground while the larger conversation carries on nearby.

Prepared
Prepared

This is a house built for the practical side of a large stay too, with a working kitchen, laundry, parking and five bathrooms. You can cook, dry a towel, find an extra blanket, and carry on.

A note from your host
We took this home on because it works when a group needs room to actually spend time together, not just sleep under one roof. We tell guests to plan one proper shared meal and keep one afternoon clear for the pool. Those are usually the hours people remember.
Step outside the gate

Where you are.

Whistling Woods sits in Gurugram’s farmhouse belt, where larger plots, boundary walls and garden space replace the tighter rhythm of the city. You are still within reach of Gurugram’s malls, restaurants and main roads, but the house is set up for staying in once you arrive. It suits a two-night plan especially well: bring groceries, settle by the pool, and make the outdoor spaces part of the day.

Good to know

Worth knowing.

  • For a group of 22, confirm the final bed and extra-sleeping arrangement with the team before booking, as bedroom allocation matters for larger groups.
  • The pool is outdoors and can feel cold during Gurugram’s winter months, even on a sunny day.
  • Garden and pool time are weather-dependent, and summer afternoons in Gurugram can be very hot.
  • Outdoor dinners may bring mosquitoes around dusk, so carrying repellent is sensible.
  • This is a group house with shared outdoor areas, so sound from the garden and pool can carry between guests.
  • Bring the groceries you need for larger meals; the kitchen is equipped to cook, but a group shop is easier to organise before you settle in.

Who this house suits

  • Big family weekends work well here, with five bedrooms, five bathrooms and outdoor space for different age groups.
  • Friends’ reunions suit the pool, BBQ and dining setup, especially when the plan is to stay in rather than keep moving around town.
  • Birthday gatherings fit comfortably when the focus is a shared meal, a garden afternoon and an easy evening at the house.
  • Families travelling with children have an outdoor playground close to the main garden areas.
  • Pet-owning groups can bring their pet along and make use of the outdoor space.
  • Longer group stays are easier with a full kitchen, washer, tumble dryer, Wi-Fi and parking on hand.
