This is a six-bedroom hill home made for bringing the whole group together without asking everyone to share a room. Days move between the balcony, the garden table and the indoor sitting area, where the fireplace earns its place once Mukteshwar cools down.
Breakfast can stretch into late conversation outdoors, then turn into a slow plan for the day. Back at the house, there is a proper kitchen for the people who like to cook, a BBQ for an evening meal, and enough bedrooms for families and friends to take a little space when they need it.
It still feels like someone’s home, not a party venue. Come with books, a few groceries and people you are happy to linger with.

First evening
The temperature drops quickly in Mukteshwar after daylight. Put the fireplace to work, or take dinner outside around the garden table if the evening is mild; the BBQ suits a group meal that does not need a restaurant reservation.

Next morning
Breakfast gives the house its slowest hour. Coffee, books and a little fresh hill air fit easily between the balcony and outdoor furniture before anyone decides where to drive.

Departure
The last morning tends to be for packing slowly and finishing what is left in the fridge. Most groups leave wishing they had kept another evening for the fireplace and one more unplanned breakfast at the garden table.

We took this home on because six private bedrooms change the rhythm of a group trip: everyone sleeps properly, then meets again over breakfast or around the fireplace. The garden dining area is where plans tend to run late, so we always suggest keeping one evening free for a meal at home.

Mukteshwar sits high in the Kumaon hills, where the roads curve through pine, oak and small settlements rather than broad town streets. The pace is slower than Nainital, though weekends can bring more cars through the main market and temple area. Most outings here involve a drive on hill roads, so it works best when you leave room in the day rather than trying to tick off several stops.
