We would plan dinner around the BBQ, then let the fireplace take over.

Chapter one

A hillside villa for the whole crew

Hampton Villa is a three-bedroom Mussoorie house for groups that want to stay in one place long enough to make a proper evening of it. The rooms hold up to 11 people, while the shared spaces give everyone somewhere to land: a fireplace when the hill air turns sharp, a dining table for long meals, and a balcony looking over the valley and town lights. Days begin slowly here. Put espresso on, take a cup outside, and watch the mountain view change as the cloud settles or lifts. By evening, the outdoor dining area and BBQ become the natural meeting point. There are board games for the people who stay indoors and enough room for children to keep busy. This is a lived-in home, not a hotel. Treat it gently, use the kitchen properly, and let the house do what it does best: keep a group together.
Chapter two

A day at the house.

A few moments, in the order they tend to happen.

Arrival
14:00
Arrival

Let yourselves in with the lockbox and take the first walk through together. The balcony is usually the first stop, with the valley and Mussoorie’s spread of lights beyond; inside, the kitchen and living spaces make it easy to unpack snacks and settle in.

First evening
19:00
First evening

As the temperature drops, the fireplace earns its place. Put the BBQ to work in the outdoor dining area or cook inside on the induction hob, then gather over a board game while the town lights show up below.

Next morning
08:00
Next morning

Make espresso and take it to the balcony before the day gets busy. Breakfast can stay at the dining table or move outdoors when the weather allows, with the mountain and valley view changing by the minute.

Departure
11:00
Departure

The last hour usually goes to one more cup of coffee, a few balcony photographs, and checking the wardrobes for forgotten layers. Leave time for packing a larger group; a house for 11 gathers more bags than expected.

Chapter three

The spaces.

Bedroom one

One of three bedrooms, with wardrobe storage, bed linen, room-darkening blinds, and extra pillows and blankets.

Bedroom two

This bedroom is set up for a shared group stay, with clothes storage and portable heating available for cooler nights.

Bedroom three

The third bedroom adds sleeping space for the group and includes practical essentials such as hangers and linens.

Living area

The shared indoor space has a fireplace, TV, books, board games, and portable fans for changing hill weather.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen includes a Bosch stainless steel induction cooker, espresso machine, microwave, fridge, freezer, blender, and a dining table.

Balcony

The balcony opens to mountain, valley, and city-skyline views, with outdoor furniture for coffee or an evening pause.

Outdoor dining and BBQ area

An outdoor dining area with a BBQ gives the group a place to cook and eat together when the weather holds.

Family-ready outdoor space

The outdoor area includes a hammock, playground, baby safety gates, and children’s tableware for guests travelling with younger children.

The feeling

In a word.

Unhurried

The balcony gives morning coffee somewhere to go, especially when the valley is still under a layer of cloud. With a portable heater and fireplace indoors, nobody needs to rush out when Mussoorie turns cool.

Together

Eleven can stay across three bedrooms, but the real gathering happens around the dining table, board games, and the outdoor BBQ setup. It is a house built around shared plans rather than separate schedules.

Capable

The kitchen has a Bosch induction cooker, espresso machine, microwave, freezer, and the everyday tools for feeding a full house. A washer and tumble dryer help when a longer hill stay brings damp jackets and extra layers.

A note from your host
We took this home on for the way it brings a group into the same rhythm. Someone is making coffee, someone is setting up the barbecue, and someone is usually claiming the fireplace first. We tell guests to plan one unhurried meal at the house; the balcony and valley view make it easy to stay put.
Step outside the gate

Where you are.

Mussoorie moves at a hill-station pace: winding roads, changing weather, pine-covered slopes, and stretches where the valley opens beneath you. This villa sits within reach of the town’s busier lanes, so you can head out for a walk or supplies and come back to a quieter evening indoors. Expect steep approaches, cool air after sundown, and occasional cloud that changes the view without warning.

Good to know

Worth knowing.

  • Hill weather changes quickly, so carry warm layers and a rain layer even if the afternoon begins bright.
  • The valley view can disappear into cloud or mist; that is normal in Mussoorie and often clears later.
  • Evenings outdoors get cold, so the BBQ and balcony are most comfortable with extra layers.
  • A group of 11 will share three bedrooms, so confirm sleeping arrangements with your group before arrival.
  • Mountain roads can be narrow and slow, especially on busy weekends; plan your arrival with daylight and patience.
  • This is someone’s home, so please handle the kitchen, furnishings, and outdoor areas with care.

Who this house suits

  • Family holidays with grandparents, children, and cousins who need room for up to 11 people.
  • Friends’ hill weekends where cooking together and a barbecue matter as much as heading into town.
  • Small celebrations that work better around one long dining table than in a restaurant.
  • Longer Mussoorie stays with remote work, thanks to Wi-Fi, a dedicated workspace, and laundry facilities.
  • Pet-inclusive breaks for guests who want a full private home rather than separate hotel rooms.
  • Cool-weather gatherings when the fireplace gives everyone a reason to stay in after dinner.
