Hostizzy is a direct booking platform operated by Hostsphere India Private Limited ("Company", "we", "our", "us"), a company incorporated under the laws of India.

2. Information We Collect

When you use our booking platform, we may collect:

  • Personal information — full name, email address, phone number, and address provided during the booking process.
  • Identity documents — government-issued ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence) collected at check-in for regulatory compliance.
  • Booking data — property selected, check-in/check-out dates, number of guests, special requests, and booking amount.
  • Payment information — payment method, transaction ID, and billing details processed through our payment partner Razorpay. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • Communication data — messages exchanged via WhatsApp, email, or our chat systems in connection with your booking.
  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Process and confirm your bookings and payments.
  • Communicate booking confirmations, updates, and check-in instructions.
  • Provide customer support before, during, and after your stay.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including guest registration requirements under Indian law.
  • Improve our platform, services, and user experience.
  • Send promotional communications (only with your consent; you may opt out at any time).
  • Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience, remember your preferences, and analyse site traffic. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies required for site functionality cannot be disabled.

5. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following trusted third-party providers, solely to deliver our services:

  • Razorpay — payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and real-time services.
  • Cloudinary — image and media storage for property photos.
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — booking confirmations and guest communication via WhatsApp. Subject to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Data is shared only as necessary to fulfil your booking and operate our services.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure database access controls, and regular security reviews. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations (including guest register requirements under Indian law), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking records are typically retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Indian tax and hospitality regulations.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.

  • Lodge a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India.
